FULL-STACK PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
From idea to live product, solo. I design the architecture, write the API, build the frontend, and handle deployment — staying accountable until it ships and beyond.
Full-stack engineer. I find the gaps nobody has filled and turn them into products people use — FORMATEX, GESTHUB and WATCHFOLIO.
Currently leading engineering at TekCircle, building my own products, and open to what's next.

LaTeX-to-PDF as a service
Overleaf has 12 million users and no public API — FormaTeX is the answer. A modern browser editor with real-time collaboration, a production REST API across four LaTeX engines, and Smart Compile that silently fixes AI-generated LaTeX errors before they ever reach the user. Ships with SDKs for five platforms, an MCP server so any AI agent can compile documents directly, and a free tier. No TeX Live, no setup.

Internship lifecycle management for institutions
Built for the DSI of Morocco's Education Ministry — not a side project. Manages the full internship lifecycle from posting offers to issuing completion attestations. Five role-based dashboards (super-admin, admin, supervisor, intern, public applicant), server-side data tables on every entity, a Kanban board for task tracking, and Tiptap WYSIWYG for offer authoring. Deployed to production with real staff using it.
B2B IT talent marketplace for the MENA market
A B2B marketplace connecting freelancers, ESNs, and corporate clients in the Moroccan and North African tech market. Clients post offers anonymously (ESNs see 'client non spécifié', only trusted suppliers see the real identity), GPT-4o parses CVs and ranks candidates, and the platform covers the full operational chain: BDCs, monthly activity reports (CRA), digital contract signing in-browser, and invoice generation. Owned the entire stack solo — frontend, backend, and DevOps.
Schengen visa insurance marketplace
A multi-party digital insurance marketplace for Schengen visa applicants in Morocco and Francophone Africa. Customers compare plans from licensed providers, pay via Polar.sh, and get a PDF attestation with an embassy-verifiable QR code in under 2 minutes. Travel agencies get their own portal to create orders and send direct payment links to clients. Providers manage their catalog, track sales, and view analytics under their own branding. Built solo, end-to-end.

Movie & TV tracker — web, desktop, soon mobile
Most watchlist apps track shows. Watchfolio tracks individual episodes — with timestamps, per-season progress, and auto-completion detection. Local-first with RxDB so the library is instant even offline, Appwrite for cloud sync, and a Gemini-powered mood engine that recommends what to watch next based on your actual history. Ships as a web app and a native desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux from a single React codebase via Tauri v2.

University management platform — attendance, grades, and academic workflow
Universities run on paper, emails, and spreadsheets. Hodour replaces the entire stack: QR code + GPS-verified attendance that eliminates proxy fraud, grade management with weighted calculations and official transcript generation, a recommendation letter workflow with eligibility enforcement, and an absence justification pipeline. Three interfaces — Next.js web for staff, React Native mobile for students, Spring Boot API underneath — with 179 endpoints serving five distinct user roles across an entire faculty.

Track every SaaS subscription you pay for
A calm, visual way to track every SaaS subscription you pay for — Spotify, Netlify, GitHub, Figma, whatever. Calendar view with spending heatmap, a 242-service directory for instant add, real-time conversion across 168 currencies, and email reminders before every renewal. Your subscription schedule also exports as a webcal feed so it lives in Apple/Google/Outlook Calendar.

Add intelligent features to existing products or build AI-native from scratch — document analysis, generation pipelines, RAG systems, agentic workflows, and private model deployment.
iOS and Android from a single React Native codebase. Auth, push notifications, offline sync, and app store deployment — pairs naturally with a backend I have already built for you.
Short-term technical leadership for early teams — architecture decisions, codebase review, engineering standards, and team setup. A senior technical voice without the full-time hire.
Not sure which fits? Describe what you're building and I'll tell you how I can help — no commitment required.
HIRE ME →I'm Walid — I take products from a blank page to production, and stay with them after.
I'm a full-stack engineer based in Rabat, Morocco. Right now I'm Tech Lead at TekCircle, I build my own products on the side, and I'm studying for a Master's in Digital Governance & AI.
I like starting from a gap that's obvious once you look — a missing API, a process still run on paper — and owning everything it takes to close it: the data model, the API, the interface, the deployment.
I care about code another engineer can open years later and understand, and interfaces that need no manual. If a brief doesn't make sense for the user, I'll say so — the job is to ship something that works.
How a product gets made — one operator, end to end
Every product starts from a problem that's obvious once you look — and a clear answer to why it needs to exist.

I don't take slices of the work — I build the whole thing. +
up front,
in your pocket,

on the backend,
underneath,
in the loop — all containerized with
and ready to ship anywhere.
I've shipped 10 products alone. Here's how I actually use Claude Code — the parts that work, the parts that don't, and what changed once I stopped treating it like a search engine.
Owning the whole stack is a superpower. It's also a trap. Here's what four years of paying it has taught me.
Most ideas don't survive contact with a blank repo. Here's the actual process — the order of operations, the ugly middle, and what 'shipped' really means when there's no one else in the room.
Available for startups that need a full product built, not a slice of one. Full-time, contract, or an interesting one-off. Remote from Morocco — async is fine.
